Joy in the Streets

The Procession is a magical creative community event honoring our relationship to the natural world and one another. It offers an educational opportunity to learn more about other species, a forum to express one’s creativity by making masks, costumes and puppets that express the spirit of those species, and a chance to participate in community celebration while building a Triangle tradition. This year’s Procession will be led by the new Carolina Samba School.

All ages are welcome to participate in several ways:

  • attend Scrap Exchange workshops prior to the event,
  • bring Paper Hand Puppet Intervention to your school,
  • get your teachers to integrate this into their curriculum,
  • come to the Scrap Exchange’s booth at the Earth Day Festival
  • let everyone know so they can join in the fun!
